FINAL POST AS A SACRED HEART SCHOOL, PETONE STUDENT


This is the final post that I will make as a SHP student on this blog. While the blog will remain open, it will be solely my responsibility to ensure that all content posted in the future (if any) is appropriate and continues to uphold the RISE Values that I have learnt at SHP. While this blog has at times been focused on school work and tasks, it has also been used as a means of expressing myself. At times me or classmates have made mistakes about what we have posted - however, we have used these opportunities to learn from our collective errors. I will try and remember these lessons should I choose to continue to use this blog. Such lessons are listed below (not an exhaustive list!)

I walked up to the gate slowly, feeling my heart thumping to a beat of drum pounding a thousand times per hour. Should I turn around? No, I shouldn’t I would look silly in front of my friends. I shouldn’t of dared Rob to eat that gum on the footpath now its left me with a dumb dear like this, going into a haunted house. I can’t believe none of the other guys agreed to come with me like Cobie we are best friends. I approach the house. Suddenly, I heard a crack! I scream and run!

The Wellington Storm

We were away from school last Friday due to severe storm that forced people indoors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation:

 One Storm in Wellington
In Wellington last week, there was a scene of severe stormy weather. Leaving homes with know electricity, rooftop's, fences and also tree's that had been forced down by the wild wind. The storm had damaged some beaches, railways, and also had made a lot of flooding in the Wellington region, which had permitted a lot of emergency set outs.

Schools and kindergartens were also forced to close down during the day of Friday the 21st of June, because of the power outage of most of the schools family's.

The damage in the Wellington region and councils will have to go through a big clean up but right now Wellingtons has done a good job.
