FINAL POST AS A SACRED HEART SCHOOL, PETONE STUDENT

This is the final post that I will make as a SHP student on this blog. While the blog will remain open, it will be solely my responsibility to ensure that all content posted in the future (if any) is appropriate and continues to uphold the RISE Values that I have learnt at SHP. While this blog has at times been focused on school work and tasks, it has also been used as a means of expressing myself. At times me or classmates have made mistakes about what we have posted - however, we have used these opportunities to learn from our collective errors. I will try and remember these lessons should I choose to continue to use this blog. Such lessons are listed below (not an exhaustive list!)

I can’t believe none of the other guys agreed to come with me like Cobie we are best friends. I approach the house. Suddenly, I heard a crack! I scream and run!

The Wellington Storm

We were away from school last Friday due to severe storm that forced people indoors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation:

 One Storm in Wellington

In Wellington last week, there was a scene of severe stormy weather. Leaving homes with know electricity, rooftop's, fences and also tree's that had been forced down by the wild wind. The storm had damaged some beaches, railways, and also had made a lot of flooding in the Wellington region, which had permitted a lot of emergency set outs.

Schools and kindergartens were also forced to close down during the day of Friday the 21st of June, because of the power outage of most of the schools family's.

The damage in the Wellington region and councils will have to go through a big clean up but right now Wellingtons has done a good job.

Young Martin Richard 

On Tuesday morning N.Z time there was a tragic booming which took place in Boston, Massachusetts at the finish line of the annual Boston Marathon. It unbelievably killed three innocent people which were part of the crowd waiting for loved one's to finish the race, over a hundred were injured. One of the victims killed was eight year old Martin Richard who was waiting for he's father to finish the race. For this I ask everyone that see's this to pray for all the victims of the Boston Booming and especially for those three innocent people that have lost there live's.

May those victim's rest in peace.

Teaching My Tui Buddy

Hi guys just had another awesome day at school today I got to teach someone from Tui class and it was so awesome. Her name is Dakota and she is the smartest Tui I've ever seen, I taught her how to add two numbers the same using her fingers (e.g 1+1, 2+2) and she learnt really quickly.

My Week

Hi its Me again just going to write about my awesome week I had. So, on Monday I went to school and had a awesome day(like always).And Tuesday I went to school again, on Wednesday we had mufti at school to raise money for Caratas (if you don't know what caratas is please click on the link on the word caratas for more information).And on Thursday guess what...I went to school!!! So yea. On Friday at school we had a walk around school to different class rooms which had replayed a day of the holy week.
So now I'm just waiting for my touch game which Im sure we can win.

My Learning Goals

Hi me again this term we had to make some goals so it would help us to learn different things.

Maths: 

To learn about square roots and different maths equations to use when solving different problems in maths.

Writing:

Recognize how words are grouped in word classes.

Reading:

To identify the different languages used in poetry and figurative speech.
